The story takes a turn when Hitohito Tadano, an ordinary-looking student, sits next to Komi in class. Tadano is surprised to learn that Komi has trouble communicating and offers to help her overcome her social anxiety. As they spend more time together, Komi and Tadano develop an unlikely friendship, and Komi begins to open up to him.

The series also explores the importance of friendship and relationships in overcoming challenges and achieving personal growth. Komi’s relationships with Tadano, Chika, and other characters are at the heart of the series, and provide a rich source of emotional depth and complexity.

Throughout the first season, Komi and Tadano navigate high school life together, facing various challenges and obstacles along the way.
