After some thought, I decided to agree to let Emily stay with me. I figured it would be a good opportunity to get to know her better and help out a neighbor in need. Plus, it would be nice to have some company around the house.

Eventually, Emily started to think about finding her own place. I was a bit sad to think about her leaving, but I knew it was a necessary step for her to become independent. We started to look for apartments together, and eventually, she found a great place just a few blocks away.

The day Emily moved out was bittersweet. I was happy for her, but I was also going to miss her dearly. We had become so close, and I had grown accustomed to having her around. But as we hugged each other goodbye, I knew that our lives would always be connected.
